Monthly rental versus buying: the real cost over twelve months
2 August 2026 · 5 min read
Ownership costs are quiet. Registration, comprehensive insurance, two services a year, a set of tyres, and the depreciation nobody sees until they sell. A monthly rental folds all of it into one predictable figure.
The other advantage is reversibility. Plans shift — a new job, a longer contract, a bigger family. A monthly agreement can be swapped for a different category at renewal instead of sold at a loss.
Our monthly rates start well below the running cost of a comparable owned car, and mileage allowances are generous enough for daily commuting plus weekend trips.
